In this crazy Corona Virus world, many of us are feeling isolated and need to socialize. I created Online Word Game Night and will play games such as Word Twister, Rebus, Categories, Jumble and more in a fun Corona Virus Safe environment from the comfort/safety of your home.
This completely online event will be LIVE and you will be able to see and hear the other participants while playing. In addition you get to meet and interact with some of the other participants.
The event will take place in a Virtual Room using the Zoom program (Zoom is a free download that is super easy to use). You can access from your computer/webcam or your Smart Phone/Ipad/Tablet.
THIS IS A SINGLE PLAYER GAME. EACH PERSON NEEDS to have their own
registration and will access from their own device. If you want to play
with another person from the same device (each person still needs their
own registration), you can do so for fun, but would not be eligible to
win any rounds (not fair to single players). Alternatively you can play
with another person from the same device, but each keep your own answers
(and agree not to share answers) and still be eligible.
How exactly does it work:
1) You will join the virtual room at the specified time.
2) Prior to starting the game we will virtually introduce you to some of the other participants (if for any reason you are not interested in meeting the other participants, you can opt out of this part).
3) We will be playing a few different games including Word Twister, Categories, Jumble and more
Categrories
* At game time, your host will show you a Categories board. Your goal is to come up with as many words as you can in the specified category that start with the "letter". The person(people) who made the most words, will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize at the end of the event. You also can earn raffle tickets for audience participation and finding certain bonus words.
Example: the Letter is S. For the category "A girls name", an answer might be Stacey, Samantha, Sharon.
We will play multiple rounds so each time you win a round, you will earn another raffle entry.
Word Twister
* At game time, your host will show you a word search board. Your goal is to come up with as many words as you can within the specified time frame (Typically 90-120 seconds). The person(people) who made the most words, will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize at the end of the event. You also can earn raffle tickets for audience participation and finding certain bonus words.
(You must be on camera if you want a chance to win prizes. Otherwise you can play for fun if you are off camera, but just cant win any rounds)
4) We will continue the above steps for a total of about 75 minutes. At the end of the event, we will pull raffle tickets and award the prize.
How do I find the Virtual Room?
After you purchase your ticket, you will get a confirmation appear on your screen along with the zoom link for you to use to log in.
